            Please describe your family members and how a Leonbergr will be part of your family.

2.         Home status: What type of area do you reside in ? Own property or rented,
            House or flat with garden

            If rented a written permission from your landlord is required to be sure a Leonberger will be acceptable.

3.         Please describe the characteristics you are lookin for in your Leonberger.
            What are your expectations of your Leonberger ?

            Did you consider the costs, e.g. proper food, veterinary expenses, insurance etc.
 

4.         Please tell me about previous or current pets in your home.

            Have you ever euthanized a pet and if so, why ?

            Have you ever given a pet to a shelter and if so, why ?

            Have you ever returned a pet to the breeder and if so, why ?

            Will the puppy have at least one person with whom to identify? 

            If you go out to work: a puppy cannot be left for 8 hours on its own, children on their own are not suitable
            or reliable enough to take responsibility for training and care. Will proper care, attention and training be provided?
 

            When necessary to stay outside for a while, do you have a fenced yard or if not, are you willing to provide a very large
            kennel for safe outside-time ?
            ATTENTION: A Leonberger needs the daily contact to the family and is not meant to be kept ALONE
            outside in a kennel.
 

            Has all this been considered and have appropriate arrangements been made? 

5.         Are all members of the family in agreement with keeping a dog? 

6.         Have you made certain that before you purchase a dog no-one in the household suffers from an allergy
            caused by animal hair??

7.         Is a suitable member of the family prepared to care for, brush and groom the dog regularly, to take it for walks
            and to train it properly - e.g. puppy courses, dog school etc. ??

8.         The breeders reserve the right to make sure the statements made here are true either on their own initiative or
             with the help of another suitable agency..

9.         Should it be discovered that the dog is not being kept and cared for in a suitable manner, the breeders have the
             right to retrieve it as stated in the Purchase Agreement. 

10.       Should an emergency situation arise (serious illness, death, extreme financial need etc.) which would preclude
            continuing to keep the dog, the breeders must be informed immediately. The dog will return to us and be cared for
            temporarily until such time as a new suitable owner can be found.

            Selling the dog to a third party or placing it in an animal welfare centre or sanctuary constitutes a serious violation
            of the Purchase Agreement and will cause us to take legal steps against the owners. 
 

            We strongly urge you to consult us with all problems first so that we may find a solution together. 

            Please sign this questionnaire only if you are completely certain that you are able to adhere to the conditions. 

            We realize this is a rather lengthy questionnaire and appreciate you taking the time to fill it in completely.
            All animals have personalities and it is our desire to place the right puppy with the right family, so you may both
            enjoy many happy years together.

            If you feel comfortable with sending us a picture, we would love to see where our puppy will live.

We regret that we are unable to allow anyone not completing the questionnaire and providing a signature as guarantee to take a puppy from our kennel.
